Progressive personalisation: Play-test your way to scale with connected experiences

Workshop

Monday 12:00 PM - 03:00 PM

Language: Engelsk

Personalisation is essential, sometimes confounding, and here to stay: isn’t it about time you learned how to play the game by its own unexpected rules?

Move past the myths of personalisation and meet the moment. Deal yourself a set of our cards for designing for automated, personalised or AI-delivered experiences. Play a game we’ve been play-testing for years within organizations seeking clearer outcomes, cleaner mechanics, and better consistency from their connected experiences.

This session presents a persuasive tradecraft to tackle getting your foundations set confidently and efficiently across software tools as varied as MAP, CMS/DXP, CRM, and CDP, and from within functional domains such as marketing, product, sales, and support.

The progressive personalisation approach shows that effective, repeatable UX tactics—and the instructive comedic lessons of the “persofails” we encounter in our digital day-to-day lives—are the sound and surest path to shipping lasting value in connected experience.

What you’ll learn:

  • A blueprint to design for simplifying your digital products and places with information architecture that’ll power your personalisation opportunities. Draw a target-zone map, think “IA before AI”, and craft just enough taxonomy to make the complex clear.
  • Reverse-engineer “persofails” you’ve experienced in your day to day digital travels, demonstrating the reliable way to personalise without overfitting.
  • Itemize your test kitchen. There is an essential grammar to designing with data to express your content more dynamically and cost-efficiently.
  • Put ingredients to the test with repeatable recipes and dishes, based on an AI-crafted pattern library of connected XP elements.
  • Concoct recipes that could form the basis for a team- or company-wide cookbook, generating competitive learnings, a shared terminology, common mechanics, and a unified backlog for your center of excellence.

This workshop is for:

  • Managers of a personalisation engine, marketing automation, or any modernized digital experience management stack, leaning into or scaling their personalisation, automation, and dynamic content capabilities
  • Marketing, product, design, and technology professionals responsible for delivering successful features of a connected experience (e.g., notifications, recommenders, automations, etc.)
